Seven places to find Kansas City Chiefs merch (and recreate Taylor Swift’s looks)
Sweet, sweet victory.
With the AFC Championship in the rearview mirror, Chiefs Kingdom is praying for Mahomes’ magic to bring Kansas City its fourth Lombardi trophy.
But what to wear? The tired jersey that’s been sitting in the back of your closet for a decade simply won’t do for the Super Bowl. (Unless it’s a good luck charm. Then you should probably wear it.)
To refresh your game day wardrobe, we’ve rounded up a few local shops that offer Chiefs apparel beyond your typical T-shirt or hoodie (we still love you, Rally House and Dick’s Sporting Goods). Some of the offerings are even Taylor Swift-approved.
Charlie Hustle
4747 Broadway Blvd.
This local shop sells tees, sweatshirts, caps and more from its Country Club Plaza location. The brand just released a “Showtime in Las Vegas” Chiefs shirt for $36 ahead of the Super Bowl. You can buy its designs in-store or order online at charliehustle.com.
EB & Co.
306 W. 47th St. and 326 W. 63rd St.
Taylor Swift loves this jewelry store. No, really. She was spotted wearing a ring with boyfriend Travis Kelce’s jersey number, 87, from EB & Co. after Sunday’s AFC Championship win. (You can pre-order that ring for $14.) Owner Emily Bordner has two locations in Kansas City, plus her designs are sold at Lenexa’s Made in KC store and online at ebandcompany.com.
Sandlot Goods
11530 Ash St. in Leawood
Need a new Chiefs hat before the game? How about an “I’m just here for Taylor” sweatshirt? Sandlot Goods has you covered from its store in Leawood or online at sandlotgoods.com.
Westside Storey
1701 Summit St.
Here’s another pick from Swift’s closet. Owner Chris Harrington was shocked when he saw the singer wearing a rare, vintage Chiefs sweatshirt his team had sent her in October. You, too, can find a collectible sweatshirt via Harrington’s Westside store or online at thewestsidestorey.com.
TeaElla
11248 W. 135th St. in Overland Park
This Johnson County women’s boutique sells sweatshirts, jewelry and more. Try a red corduroy jacket for $71, or a pullover for $46. Find your new fit at teaella.com.
Love Letters KC
1919 Industrial Drive in Liberty
This Liberty boutique sells sweatshirts, tees and other game day gear. Plus, it carries Erimish jewelry, the Joplin-based jewelry brand that Taylor Swift wore at a Chiefs game (and at Miracle KC) this fall. Buy a Trav bracelet for $21 at erimish.com.
Made in KC
Ten locations, headquartered at 325 E. 31st St.
Made in KC’s 10 shops hold a collection of goods from dozens of local makers. Each location offers something slightly different. The Country Club Plaza store, 306 W. 47th St., includes a coffee shop. Its Lenexa spot at 8703 Penrose Lane contains several shuffleboard lanes, so you can shuffle while you shop.
