Sharon Osbourne's team hit back at rumours over epic Celebrity Big Brother fee

Sharon Osbourne's team have denied rumours over the TV star's reported fee for her Celebrity Big Brother appearance.

The star, who was well known as a judge on The X Factor, was confirmed as part of the CBB cast during last night's (March 4) launch show – though her stay will be brief as she is the show's first-ever 'Celebrity Lodger'.

Ahead of the cast being unveiled, The Sun reported that Sharon would be paid £100,000 a day for her one-week appearance on the show.

However, representatives for the TV judge have since denied the claims, telling Metro that they are "not true".

Digital Spy has reached out to Sharon's representatives for further comment.

Sharon isn’t the only former X Factor star to enter the house, with fellow judge Louis Walsh also confirmed as part of the CBB line-up.

Upon Louis's debut in the launch show, he accidentally let slip Sharon's participation despite her appearance supposedly being under wraps.

Sharon and Louis were quickly given the series' first task after they reunited, as they were instructed to pick three fellow housemates at risk of eviction. In the end, they opted for Gary Goldsmith, David Potts and Zeze Millz.

As well as the aforementioned stars, the other celebrities taking part in this series include Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin, Heartstopper's Bradley Riches, West End star Marisha Wallace and Coronation Street's Colson Smith.

Also on board are former This Morning presenter Fern Britton, The Real Housewives of Cheshire's Lauren Simon, Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Reggae Reggae Sauce icon Levi Roots.

Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays through Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately following each new episode.
