Shirley Ballas says she 'can now breathe' after tests show her kidneys are cancer-free

Shirley Ballas told fans she "can now breathe" after receiving good news from tests recently carried out on her kidneys.
Ballas has been undergoing numerous examinations ever since Strictly Come Dancing viewers noticed a lump under her arm in September, just months after she discovered another lump in her shoulder.

In an Instagram video on Friday evening, the 61-year-old revealed she had been provided with a welcome update about her kidneys, but still had results ahead on her breasts.
She said: "I got two sets of results back today and the shadow on my kidney seems absolutely fine and some other polyps are absolutely fine. No cancer there, so that’s good."
In her caption to the video, Ballas added: "Got two sets of results back and after feeling very anxious for several weeks I can now breathe.
"I want to thank each and every one of you for your caring kind and loving messages. You proved that social media can be a good place, watching out for each other is always a good thing, and I feel blessed."

Ballas recently revealed during a Good Morning Britain interview that doctors were "alarmed" by blood test results, which showed she had elevated levels of testosterone and low oestrogen.
She added: "I try not to worry because it's so busy and there are other people relying on me.
"I just keep moving forward. Don't dwell on it because it will be what it will be."
Ballas has been the head of the show's judging panel since 2017, when Len Goodman departed.
She will return to the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel this Saturday, with Cynthia Erivo also back as a stand-in — this time for Motsi Mabuse, who has been identified as a COVID-19 close contact.

On this week's show, frontrunners Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice will dance a paso doble to California Dreamin' by Sia.
Other dances include Dan Walker attempting the infamous rumba, AJ Odudu dancing her couple's choice and last week's top-ranked Tilly Ramsay performing a samba.
