Signal issue disrupts Isle of Wight rail services
A signalling problem has led to rail disruption on the Isle of Wight.
South Western Railway earlier said lines between Ryde St Johns Road and Shanklin were closed, while an "infrequent" service was running between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde St Johns Road.
A minibus was used to carry ferry passengers between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head.
All lines have now reopened and no further delays are expected, the rail operator said.
The railway line is to close completely for a month, and partly for nine months in early September, for "vital maintenance", according to South Western Railway.
A full service of two trains an hour has been promised when the line reopens from Ryde Esplanade in October.
