The Sims 4 launches two new Kits
The Sims 4 has released two new Kits, centred on swimwear and high-end items for the bedroom.
Poolside Splash and Modern Luxe are both available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox after launching on Thursday (September 7).
The Poolside Splash Kit is a Create-a-Sim (CAS) release that provides a wide variety of swimwear and outfits ideal for the pool or hot tub. There is a focus on inclusivity with the designs, with the team saying that the selection "compliments a variety of skin tones and body types".
There are also new accessories for Sims to enjoy, including sandals, floaties, rainbow nails, and sunglasses.

The Modern Luxe Kit is a Build Buy Kit, developed in collaboration with content creator Xureila. Simmers looking for more options when it comes to furnishing bedrooms may find this release appealing, with luxury being the main theme here.
Items include a new lavish bed, a plush rug, a vanity unit, elegant wall art, sculptures, designer handbags, and a record player.
"This entire experience has been amazing! I really enjoyed working with The Sims team," Xureila said. "From my vision board of the design to choosing the style and colours of the furniture, it was surreal seeing my ideas come to life. This is truly a dream come true.
"I drew inspiration from Black artists who showcased the luxurious lifestyle of Black individuals. This ultimately served as the primary influence for the project. I mixed in my own personal tastes and interests to create the final product."

The Poolside Splash and Modern Luxe Kits follow the release of the Horse Ranch expansion back in July.
The latest full expansion introduced horses to the game, with Sims able to own, ride, and take care of them. Sims can enter competitions at Chestnut Ridge's local equestrian centre, while other features include nectar-making and mini goats and sheep.
There is no news over what's next for The Sims 4 this year, but we do know that Goth Fashion and Medieval Castle Kits are planned for early 2024 after they came top in a community vote.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
