“Sister Wives”' Christine and David Tease Valentine's Day Date Plans and Look Back on Family Traditions (Exclusive)
On the couple's four-month wedding anniversary, 'Sister Wives' stars Christine Brown and David Woolley tell PEOPLE exclusively how they're spending their first Valentine's Day as a married couple
Valentine's Day will be extra special for Christine Brown and David Woolley this year!
"This is our first Valentine's Day as a married couple," Brown, 52, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "We did go out for Valentine's Day last year, but this one is better. We're going to go out on a date. We're not doing anything with our children, we don't think."
Though Woolley, 59, notes that it will be "just us" this time around, the Sister Wives star says she "used to do Valentine's Day things with my kids."
She shares son Paedon, 25, and daughters Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Gwendlyn, 22, Ysabel, 20, and Truely, 13, with ex-husband Kody Brown. (Kody, 55, is now only married to fourth wife Robyn Brown after separating from first wife Meri Brown and second wife Janelle Brown.)
"Back when they were little. Yeah. Get the little cards that says 'I love you.' They would give it to me," shares Woolley while Brown adds, "Oh, that's cute."
As for her hopes for the couple's solo celebrations, Brown believes that "whatever" they choose to do will be "great."
"I acknowledge it for sure, but we'll do that. Maybe a card. We don't need to do gifts," she continues. "I prefer to do experiences. I prefer to do things. We're going to have dinner at a very nice restaurant."
Noting how "really fun and bougie" the restaurant is, Brown adds that she is "going to wear maybe that same dress I wore last year" since she "only wore it once."
Brown and Woolley tied the knot in Moab, Utah in October 2023. Four months after their romantic ceremony, the twosome says married life has been "really easy" and "very chill."
"I love it. Love every bit of it. Love waking up in the mornings, talking like we talked this morning in bed," says Woolley.
"He wakes me up very early sometimes. It's all good. No, I love it. It is nice," Brown adds. "It's just settled into routines really, really fast and just having adventures. We've been gone a lot. We've done a lot of traveling."
