Sol Blume announces lineup for Sacramento R&B festival, featuring Grammy-nominated headliner

The artist lineup for one of the largest R&B music festivals in Northern California has officially been announced.

Sol Blume, coming to Sacramento for the fifth time, is bringing Grammy-nominated artist SZA as the closing headliner during the three-day musical outing, May 3-5 at Discovery Park. The event expanded this year to three days for the first time.

According to a news release from festival organizer ENT Legends, Snoh Aalegra will headline the Friday, May 3 show and Kaytraminé, — the duo of Kaytranada and Aminé — will headline Saturday, May 4. SZA will take the stage Sunday, May 5.

Other artists featured on the set list include: Ari Lennox, Sir, PartyNextDoor, Masego, Wale, Kota the Friend, PinkPantheress, Samm Henshaw, Leon Thomas, Toosii, Dom Kennedy and Teeflii.

Adding some local flavor, Sacramento’s Nate Curry and Harris Rudman will perform Saturday, May 4.

Both took to social media to share their excitement for the announcement.

Curry said in his Instagram post: “Honored to announce that I will be performing at Sol Blume this year! What makes it even more beautiful is I get to share the stage with my warm brotha Harris Rudman.”

Rudman’s Instagram post said: “it’s really up…I love you Sacramento let’s get this s— percolating.”

Last year, a festival record of more than 46,000 people showed up to Discovery Park in Sacramento, where Sol Blume was hosted in 2022 and 2023. The event was first held at Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Sacramento, as a one-day event in 2018 and 2019. The festival wasn’t held in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, the festival plans to have bigger stages, bring back their “Sol Skate” roller rink and butterfly experience, have more food and beverage options in addition to other new experiences.

Tickets for this year’s festival will go on sale beginning Monday at solblume.com. Options include a three-day general admission, general admission “plus” and VIP wristbands.
