Son accused of killing mother’s boyfriend as he slept in Fort Worth home

A 22-year-old man faces a murder charge in the death of his mother’s boyfriend, who Fort Worth police say was shot in his sleep on Saturday.

The suspect, Isaiah Henderson, was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail.

The victim, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 40-year-old Patrick Blow, of Granbury, was shot in the head.

A woman called 911 shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday and reported that her son shot her boyfriend at a home in the 2800 block of Meadow Ridge Drive, according to police records.

Officers found the victim dead in a bedroom, police said in a news release.

Homicide detectives determined the suspect came into the bedroom while his mother and the victim were asleep and shot the man, police said.

The mother told police there was no altercation or argument between the suspect and the victim before the shooting.
