Southlake’s Art in the Square to go cashless for this year’s festival. Here’s what to know

Art in the Square returns to Southlake Town Square this month.

The family-friendly event features over 150 juried and high school artists, with proceeds going back to 28 local organizations and programs.

Art in the Square, produced by the Southlake Women’s Club, will run from April 28-30.

From hours to parking, here’s what to know before you go.

IS THERE AN ADMISSION FEE FOR ART IN THE SQUARE?

No, Art in the Square is free to attend. Tickets are required for food and drink vendors as well as children’s activities. Ticket booths will be located around the square.

Art in the Square is cashless this year. Credit and debit cards will be accepted for food, beverage and kid’s activities, but artists accept various forms of payment.

WHAT TIME IS ART IN THE SQUARE OPEN?

Art in the Square is open on April 28 from 4-10:30 p.m., April 29 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and April 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Artist booths on April 29 close at 9 p.m.

WHERE CAN I PARK FOR FREE DURING ART IN THE SQUARE?

Free parking is available around Southlake Town Square — located north of Southlake Boulevard — with both surface lots and parking garages offered.

The Granite Place Parking Garage at 550 Reserve St. will also be available during Art in the Square weekend.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED AT ART IN THE SQUARE?

Organizers for Art in the Square discourage guests from bringing pet dogs due to crowd sizes. Certified guard and service dogs are permitted.

WILL ART IN THE SQUARE HAVE LIVE MUSIC?

Yes, Art in the Square has a lineup of musicians and performing artists for two stages throughout the festival.

The Methodist Southlake main stage located on State Street will have musical performances spanning genres that include jazz, pop, classic rock and country. The Saturday night headliner is country singer-songwriter Canaan Smith.

The Texas Health gazebo stage located on Fountain Place will feature local talent and family entertainment.
