St-Denis Street partially closed for emergency road work

St-Denis Street will be partially closed as of this morning for emergency water main repairs.

The roadwork is expected to last four days.

St-Denis Street will be completely closed northbound between Rosemont Boulevard and St-Grégoire Street. One lane will be open southbound.

Sidewalks will remain accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.

The City of Montreal has suggested detours for drivers to ease traffic:

- Drivers heading northwest are advised to take St-Laurent Boulevard from des Pins Avenue.

- For commuters heading northeast, the city suggests using St-Hubert Street or de Lorimier Avenue.

- Montrealers driving south can avoid traffic headaches on St-Denis by opting for St-Urbain Street.
