St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws lead All-Region 8-3A high school football team

St. Stanislaus accomplished a seven-year first this season in winning nine games, and successfully defended its district championship in the process.

Coaches out of Region 8-3A have rewarded the Rock-a-Chaws with three Player of the Year picks and a district-high 11 All-MVP picks.

Player of the Year

Ian Gonzalez Rioz, St. Stanislaus

The senior arrived from Mexico City a year ago and made his lone season on the Mississippi Coast count. Gonzalez Rioz threw for over 1,800 yards and 18 touchdowns while also being one of the top rushers on the Coast with 1,431 yards gained on the ground with 17 running scores.

Gonzalez Rioz was responsible for 36 total touchdowns, including a game-winning kick return against Crystal Springs in the first round of the playoffs.

Offensive Player of the Year

Kaden Bolton, Perry Central

Bolton was the region’s top receiver this season, catching 53 passes for 872 yards and scoring 16 times. The senior led the Bulldogs to their second postseason bid in a row.

Defensive Player of the Year

Jacob Bradford, St. Stanislaus

The Rock-a-Chaws’ all-time sack leader had one last dominant season in Bay St. Louis. Bradford recorded his second-career 100-tackle season and added 19 tackles for loss and seven sacks to the stat book.

The Louisiana Tech commit also recovered a pair of fumbles and blocked a kick.

Special Teams Player of the Year

Evan Noel, St. Stanislaus

Noel nailed eight field goals this season and launched 49 touchbacks on kickoffs. The junior also landed nine of his 22 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Noel is an Arkansas commit and ranked as the top kicker in the class of 2025.
