Station 19 teases heartbreaking twist in final season trailer
Station 19 has teased a heartbreaking twist in the new trailer for the show’s final season.
In December it was confirmed the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off would be ending, with its seventh season set to be its last.
But it isn’t quite time to say goodbye yet, as there is lots of action in store for the firefighters in the final season (premiering on ABC on Thursday, March 14), which has been teased in an exciting new trailer.

This includes a sad twist, with the revelation from Fire Chief Natasha Ross to new captain Andy Herrera that "budget cuts are coming down the pike" and "lay-offs are imminent."
It isn’t yet known how Station 19 will conclude, but this heartbreaking announcement could signal the beginning of the end for the famous force.
It seems that Andy’s time in her new role gets off to a difficult start, with Lieutenant Maya Bishop reminding her that "as a woman in charge, you have the weight of every woman in the department on your shoulders," and that "it’s not enough to be strong, you have to be tough."
But Andy is determined to do a good job in her post, with the trailer showing her declaring: "I’m going to be the best damn captain this station has ever seen."

A particularly dramatic clip shows Andy defending her LGBTQ+ colleagues against protesters at a Pride parade – before the event is hit by chaos and violence.
The intense trailer shows the force having to deal with explosive chemicals, rescues and lockdowns – but it also teases the development of fan-favourite relationships, including Maya and Carina.
On Station 19’s cancellation, Disney Group president Craig Erwich said: "For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup, thanks to [executive producers] Shonda [Rhimes] and Betsy [Beers]’ incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling.
"[In the upcoming farewell season] we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show’s milestone 100th episode."
Station 19's final season will premiere on March 14, 2024 on ABC in the US.
