Steady rain is expected to develop from the coast to Burlington and up to Boone through midday Saturday. Some beaches are closed due to high surf advisories, rip current risks, and gale warnings. Rain is likely in the Piedmont Triad by Saturday morning with steady rain expected through early Sunday morning. Scattered showers are likely on Sunday with continued chilly highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.
