Still no suspects in Saturday’s high school graduation party shooting

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s had little updates to share regarding Saturday’s graduation shooting that sent four people to the hospital.

A high school graduation party on Horace Dawson Lane, in Dale, ended prematurely around 11:00 p.m., when multiple, unknown and uninvited gunmen showed up and opened fire. The rural area of Northern Beaufort County sports many homes with larger yards. The party was outdoors at one of the residences.

The gunmen fled the scene before deputies could arrive.

When deputies did arrive, they found a 38-year-old female suffering from a gunshot on the scene. Three others, a 17-year-old female, a 20-year-old female and a 21-year-old male were also injured, but no longer on the scene in search of medical attention. There were no updates on the victims’ state as of Monday afternoon.

No one suffered from life-threatening injuries. One residence and multiple vehicles had also been struck by gunfire.

Two days later, no arrests have been made and no suspects of interest have been identified, according to Master Sgt. Danny Allen, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office.

Multiple shooters and a large crowd attending the party make the investigation a little harder to investigate, Allen said.
