Strictly’s Dan Walker announces "dream" project away from TV
Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker has launched a new business venture away from the world of TV.
The former BBC Breakfast presenter took to social media to announce he’s finally taken the plunge with a business opportunity that’s been on his mind for a while.
Enthusing over his love of baked goods, Walker revealed he’s now part-owner of a café in Sheffield.

Posting on X (Twitter), he shared a collection of photos of the café and explained why he decided to get more involved in his local community.
"You know I go on about cake a lot?" Walker began. "Well… I am officially now the part-owner of a cafe!!!
"It’s something my wife and I have been thinking about for a while and an opportunity came up just down the road from our house in Sheffield at a place we love, right at the heart of the community, and with friends who are brilliant."

"It is officially… THE DREAM," Walker confessed.
Responding to questions from eager fans, the presenter went on to confirm the café has some gluten-free treats available and is also dog friendly.

This isn’t the only career move Walker has made this year as back in January he took over the airwaves at Classic FM as the new host of the station’s breakfast show.
"I need to dust off the alarm clock," he wrote on Instagram, at the time. "Really excited about joining the brilliant team at @classicfm."
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
