Striking geological feature topic of presentation

A geological marvel in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is going to be the subject of a historical overview on Sunday.
Park officials say the oddly-shaped rock jutting out into Lake Superior, locally know as the Sea Lion, is one of Earth's oldest and striking physical features.
It "has survived through the unrelenting march of time in order to tell . . . a tale of fire, ice and drama," a park event bulletin says.
"This billion-year-old rock hasn't always appeared the way it does now."
A presentation is to take place at the park's South Kabeyun Trailhead at 10 a.m.
