Suki Waterhouse and Her Newborn Baby Are Co-Cover Stars of British Vogue

They’re here, people. The first photos of Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse’s newborn baby. Well, the second photos if you’re counting Waterhouse’s Instagram post from April 4, which she captioned, “Welcome to the world angel.”

Suki Waterhouse and her baby girl are co-cover stars of British Vogue’s August 2024 issue, published on July 2. In the cover photo Waterhouse stands in some kind of garden, wearing a long, light brown leather coat covered entirely in fringe. In her arms she cradles her newborn against her chest, revealing only the back of the little girl’s golden-haired head.

Waterhouse and Pattinson’s daughter, whose name they have not yet shared, was born in March of 2024, making her just a few months old in her very first Vogue cover.

A second photo in the spread shows Waterhouse in a golden evening gown in the same garden, while her baby wears nothing at all, because she is a baby. There are no photos of the baby’s face, presumably because the couple wants to take their time before sharing their child’s face, as well as her name, with the world. Which makes sense for such a notoriously private couple.

In her interview with Vogue, Suki Waterhouse described new motherhood as “shocking in every way.” On learning how often she would need to breastfeed her daughter—“every two hours!”—she said, “I was alarmed in the hospital when they kept waking me up. I was like, ‘Excuse me? Is this what this entails?’”

Luckily, she has a great partner in Robert Pattinson. “He was there with me, and like all dads, he was really nervous. But for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm,” she said. “[He’s] the dad I could have hoped for. I mean a dad and his daughter? It’s an actual love story.”
