Super Bowl 2024: Usher gets fiery for halftime performance

The 2024 Super Bowl is underway, and the stakes are high between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

Taking the halftime show stage this year is Usher, who will perform in front of more than 100 million people. The R&B singer just released his ninth studio album, Coming Home, and he's said he wants to honour R&B music and incorporate “killer choreography” into his show.

The "My Boo" artist isn't taking the Super Bowl stage for his first time, however. In 2011, he made a guest appearance alongside the Black Eyed Peas to perform "OMG."

But this year, the American singer is the centre of attention.

“I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement.
