The 2016 Toronto International Film Festival is officially underway, and though the star-studded screenings don't start until Thursday evening (Sept. 8), A-listers like Michael Fassbender were out fêteing the fest on Wednesday. The Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, hung out at NKPR's IT Lounge x Producers Ball, posing for photographs and partaking in video shoots with reporters. The duo are in town for their much-anticipated Producers Ball party, which takes place at the lounge on Sept. 9.

Michael Fassbender charmed fans as he walked the red carpet of the TIFF Opening Night Soiree and fundraiser. Proceeds from the event benefit youth in under-served communities. He went on to talk to TIFF-goers about his career and the festival. "When I was 17, method-acting and Stanislavsky were everything to me," he told the crowd. Other famous faces at the event include Kreesha Turner, Kardinal Offishall and Helene Joy.

Martin Short and William Baldwin hosted a ballroom full of A-list stars and VIP talent at the Ritz-Carlton for the AMBI Gala. The event raised funds for two charities, Children’s Aid Foundation and UforChange, courtesy of tickets priced at whopping $2,500 each! Other celebrity guests who walked the event's red carpet included honourary co-chair James Franco, Coco Rocha, Pamela Anderson, Danny Glover, Paul Sorvino and more. After Martin revived his Jiminy Glick character for a scene-stealing interview Pamela, guests were treated to a late-night performance by Earth, Wind & Fire.

After a day in the lounge, Drew and Jonathan Scott scooted down to the Canadian Filmmaker's Party at The Spoke Club, hosted by etalk and The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. They joined fellow homegrown stars like Missy Peregrym to mingle with the country's finest.
