Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham's Christmas special lands release date
Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham's Christmas Special – aptly titled Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas – has received an official release date.
The special, which was announced in April, will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on November 22.
The show's official synopsis reveals that the "musical extravaganza" will see the Emmy-winning star "ring in the holidays" at the famed London Coliseum, accompanied by special guests.
The special is from production company Done + Dusted – the same force behind seasonal songstress Mariah Carey's previous festive offering, Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.
A first look image at the special, of which Waddingham is an executive producer, has also been released:

Waddingham is best known for starring in Apple TV's sports comedy-drama series Ted Lasso as AFC Richmond club owner Rebecca Welton, for all three of its seasons.
Speaking previously, Waddingham revealed her hilarious plan to keep the show running past its end date.
"Jason [Sudeikis] says it's the end of that three season arc," she said. "I mean I feel like trapping him in a dungeon with a notepad and a pen and just going: 'Dude, what are you doing?' You can't step away from it. The characters are so beloved and we all love it."

Waddingham also added that she would continue to play Rebecca for as long as she got the chance: "I would play her when her teeth are falling out, in a retirement home, like sitting outside it with mud splashing her," she said. "I just want to see her through. I love her so much."
The star has also had roles in Game of Thrones as Septa Unella, and as one of Jackson Marchetti's mothers in Sex Education.
Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas will be available to stream November 22.
