Authorities in Texas are looking for the family of a child who was allegedly left alone at a hospital's emergency room.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services shared in a social media post that a child who told authorities her name is Alejandra was “dropped off” at a hospital in Dallas on Sunday.

As of Wednesday morning, no family members of the child had been located.

The child, who is presumed to be about 6 years old, was left at the emergency room of the Baylor Medical Center Dallas, possibly by her mother, NBC DFW and CBS News reported, citing the DFPS.

In a photo shared by the DFPS, Alejandra is seen in a pink jacket with her hair in a ponytail as she smiles at the camera.
