The Best Late-Night Jokes of Final Clinton vs. Trump Presidential Debate
Late-night talk-show hosts took full advantage of the last 2016 presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump by cracking jokes at the candidates’ expense. Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, and James Corden didn’t pull any punches.
The Late Show‘s Stephen Colbert laid into Trump for the GOP nominee’s “I’ll keep you in suspense” comment, regarding whether he would accept the election results. “I guess we’re all going to have to wait until Nov. 9 to find out if we still have a country,” said Colbert, “if Donald Trump is the mood for a peaceful transfer of power or if he’s going to wipe his fat ass with the Constitution.”
The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah also took a shot a Trump’s “puppet” exchange with Clinton: “Trump thinks all women are puppets, that’s why he’s trying to stick his hand up them.”
And many Americans would probably agree with James Corden, who said, “Some people are saying Hillary won the debate, some people are saying Trump won the debate, but since it’s the last debate we’re ever gonna watch in this election, the truth is we won the debate.”
