TikTok’s Hot Cocoa Bombs Are the Latest Food Trend—And You Can Get Them at Costco

The internet just found its new obsession: hot cocoa bombs. The latest viral food trend is taking over TikTok—and this one is even better than Dalgona coffee

Halloween and Thanksgiving aren't even here yet, but people can't get enough of these festive chocolate cocoa “bombs” that are the perfect snack to snuggle up with while watching your favorite holiday movie. They're essentially edible bath bombs, and not only do they look tasty, but they're mesmerizing to watch because they dissolve in warm milk and then release hot cocoa mix, marshmallows, and other delicious goodies.

As you can see in one video, TikTok user @stephanieevaann—who compared the experience to ASMR—puts the bomb into mug, pours some hot milk over it until the chocolate begins to melt, and voilà…the perfect cup of cocoa! It's seriously like magic.

Some TikTok users are sharing how to make the hot cocoa bombs at home. According to Cathy Ortiz, cake decorator and entrepreneur from Florida, all you need are four ingredients to make a s'mores-flavored cocoa bomb (via Today):

  • Compound chocolate

  • Graham crackers

  • S’mores hot cocoa mix

  • Mini marshmallows

  • You'll also need a silicone mold to create the bomb.

First, melt the chocolate in a bowl before brushing a silicone mold with two coats of chocolate. Let it dry and then remove the hardened halves from their mold. You'll then need to melt the edges of one side of the shell and put a tablespoon (or however much you want!) of s’mores hot cocoa mix inside and the mini marshmallows.

From there you'll heat the rim of the second half and connect both halves together so it forms a sphere before sprinkling the graham crackers on top.

If you want to enjoy this sweet treat without the hassle of preparing it, they're also available at Costco in flavors like milk chocolate, salted caramel, and s'mores. The best part? A box of 16 hot cocoa bombs is less than $20, and they are wrapped in festive red, green, gold, and silver packaging.

Who else is adding these to their wish list?
