It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for May 15

The finish line is in sight for the few South Mississippi baseball and softball teams that remain standing.

The George County Lady Rebels have punched their ticket to the 5A state championship series this week and will face the winner of Neshoba Central and Saltillo in Hattiesburg.

East Central baseball has returned to South State and will face the winner of Vancleave and West Jones in 5A, while Gulfport has a South State series with Northwest Rankin in 6A.

In 3A, the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws also made South State and will face the winner of St. Andrew’s and Clarkdale while Resurrection awaits the winner of Taylorsville and Ethel in the 1A South State round.

Now it’s time for you to vote for Sun Herald’s Athlete of the Week for May 15.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Monday, May 22, at www.sunherald.com.
