The actresses enjoyed a low-key, dressed-down night to see the new 'Mean Girls' musical movie
Fey, 53, wrote and played the role of Ms. Norbury in the 2004 original film while 52-year-old Poehler played Regina George’s mother June George. Fey has also reprised her character in the 2024 musical adaptation of Mean Girls.

In the TikTok video, the dressed-down ladies appeared to be in great spirits as they went up the escalators in the movie theater and posed in front of a poster of the new movie.
The video is accompanied by Megan Thee Stallion and Reneé Rapp’s song “Not My Fault,” and also sees Rudolph, 51, smile back at the camera as she ascends the escalator, before dancing with a love heart filter.
"#meangirlsweekend," the video's caption read.
The trio — who are all Saturday Night Live alum — have been firm friends for many years. And earlier this month Fey revealed that she and Poehler still take a trip down memory lane by watching SNL while on the road for their "Tina Fey & Amy Poehler: Restless Leg Tour."
“We love watching it together. If we're not together, we'll live text during it,” she added. “It's like someone who played sports, like, ‘Oh, I see. You know what? I bet this moved up from dress [rehearsal].’”
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Fey also opened up to PEOPLE about reprising her role in the Mean Girls movie, alongside Tim Meadows, who is also back as Principal Duvall.
"We thought, well, teachers work for a long time. So it might make sense if Tim and I did it," she said. "So I called Tim and I was like, 'Will you do it? I'll do it if you do it.' "
The actress said that they placed only one stipulation on signing up for the project.
"And we said yes, as long as we don't have to sing," she quipped.
