TOWIE's Georgia Kousoulou didn't "get out of bed for 3 days" after miscarriage
The Only Way Is Essex star Georgia Kousoulou has opened up about her miscarriage, speaking about it on her and her partner Tommy Mallet's ITV show Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps.
Georgia and Tommy shared last month that they had lost the child they were expecting. On last night's (May 25) episode of Baby Steps, the couple discussed the impact of the miscarriage in more detail.
During the episode, Tommy spoke about his bond with son Brody, whom he and Georgia welcomed in 2019. Meanwhile, Georgia had a heart-to-heart with friends over concerns about the pregnancy before going to the hospital for her 12-week scan.
Once at the hospital, the pair received the devastating news that they had lost the baby.
With the results, filming for the show was paused for several days. It picked up five days later at the couple's home, where Georgia revealed that she hadn't left her bed in days.
"I think today, I have been more positive about everything because I haven't really been able to get out of bed for three days," she said.
Georgia later discussed how she has moments where she feels "fine", and then she could be triggered by a baby announcement she may see while scrolling on social media.
She explained: "I feel like someone has taken my baby away from me, and now what am I left with? An empty bump with nothing in it."
During the episode, the couple decided that the best thing for them to do was to get away for a few days.
They headed to Majorca for distraction, escapism and a place to process what they were going through while Brody stayed with family back in the UK.
Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps airs Thursdays at 9pm on ITVBE and ITVX.
The Only Way Is Essex airs on ITVBe.
