The Traitors stars make surprise appearance at BRIT Awards

The Traitors stars Diane and Ross Carson made a surprise appearance at the BRIT Awards tonight, with the pair donning the show's iconic cloaks at the ceremony.

The mother and son duo appeared in the second series of the BBC reality show, with the pair managing to keep their familial relationship a secret throughout their time in the castle.

Following the conclusion of the series, which saw Diane exit in stunning fashion before Ross was later banished, the pair have made several public appearances together, and tonight (March 2) they attended the 2024 BRIT Awards at London's O2 Arena.

As they were introduced by hosts Maya Jama, Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo, the pair peered out from under their hoods as they were asked which act they wanted to see perform live following the commercial break.

"I'm saying Raye, because she's a strong independent woman, like me," said Diane, before Ross added: "I'm saying Raye because she's an unbelievable woman and because mum told me to."

Their appearance was remarked upon by fans on social media, with one writing on X/Twitter: "Diane and Ross getting their #BRITs moment was not on my bingo card for tonight," as another added: "Okay, a BRITs/Diane & Ross from The Traitors crossover is quite simply iconic."

The second season of The Traitors was eventually won by Harry Clark, with the star stealing the money from Mollie Pearce at the final stage. Harry worked in the army prior to his time on the show, and revealed that the experience helped him in the challenges.

"I think [being able to separate emotion from game play] is all down to the military training," he said. "Being in the Army, because you work in a high-pressure environment, you can disassociate emotions with just getting the job done."

The Traitors series 1-2 are streaming on BBC iPlayer.
