Trans-Canada Highway crash between semi and car sends 1 to hospital
One person is in hospital following a collision between a semi-trailer and a car on the Trans-Canada Highway near Portage la Prairie, Man., on Wednesday afternoon.
RCMP say they were called to the highway, near the Days Inn hotel, at around 1:30 p.m.
One person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Police did not specify which vehicle the injured person was in.
RCMP are warning people to wear their seatbelts and drive safely this Easter long weekend, as extra traffic are expected on the highways.
