Travis Barker posts video of him drumming in hospital room after welcoming son with Kourtney Kardashian
"This is giving Ken playing guitar at Barbie," wrote one commenter.
A week after news broke that Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian had welcomed their first child together, the Blink-182 member is pulling back the hospital curtain on how he drummed up excitement for the birth of their son.
The rocker posted a TikTok on Thursday that featured him dressed in sweatpants sitting behind a drum pad in a Cedars-Sinai hospital room. Surrounded by medical equipment, Barker can be seen rapidly hitting the pad to the beat of the baby's heart monitor.
"Practicing to my babies [sic] heartbeat," Barker captioned the minute-long clip, which did not include Kardashian.
The comments section of the post included various opinions on Barker bringing musical equipment with him to the hospital.
"That would've driven me up the wall," one viewer wrote. "Kourtney has the patience of a saint. Congratulations!"
Another added, "This is giving Ken playing guitar at Barbie."
Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Barker, who married in 2022, are overjoyed following the birth of their son. They added that Barker is "obsessed with their baby boy" and makes sure that Kardashian "has everything that she needs."
Kardashian announced over the summer that she and Barker were expecting by recreating a sign from Blink-182's "All the Small Things" music video and waving it at one of the band's concerts. In September, Kardashian revealed that she had undergone emergency fetal surgery to save their baby, writing, "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby's life."
The newborn, whose name has not yet been revealed, is the seventh child in the Kardashian-Barker family. Kardashian shares three children — sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope — with ex Scott Disick, while Barker is dad to son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler.
