Travis Kelce says he won't address Taylor Swift romance rumors but 'sure as hell enjoyed this weekend'
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is about to become everyone's favorite antihero when it comes to providing a definitive answer to whether or not he's romantically involved with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The 33-year-old NFL tight end addressed (sort of) speculation that he and Swift are a couple after the "Karma" and "Cruel Summer" singer was spotted hanging out with his mom at a Chiefs game over the weekend.
"Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family," Kelce said on Wednesday's episode of his New Heights podcast, co-hosted by his brother and fellow NFL player Jason. "She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in great light, and, on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans, of course. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen. It was just impressive."
Kelce went on to praise Swift for doing "high fives with mom" and the warm way the Chiefs fans embraced the entertainer.
"It was definitely a game I'll remember, that's for damn sure. And then we just slid off in the getaway car in the end," he continued, adding that he was "flying around, breaking all the speed limits" in his sports car. "Shout out to Taylor for coming through and seeing me rock the stage."
Even when his sibling asked him to speak on the validity of the rumors regarding Swift, Kelce seemed to choose his words carefully.
"I know that I brought all this attention to me," he said. "I'm the one that did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everybody how butthurt I was that I didn't get to meet Taylor. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take, baby. What's real is that it is my personal life. I want to respect both of our lives."
He added, "Like you said on that Thursday night game, I'm enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend. So, everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports and saying 'alright now' will have to be kind of where I keep it."

In July, Kelce revealed that he regretted not connecting with Swift while he attended a performance on her Eras tour.
"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," he said on New Heights at the time. "So I was a little butthurt [that] I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."
A representative for Swift did not respond to EW's prior request for comment on her supposed involvement with Kelce.
Listen to Kelce discuss Swift at around the 34-minute mark in the new episode of New Heights above.
