Trio of wildfires north of Fort St. John reported over the weekend

A cluster of three wildfires about 100 kilometres north of Fort St. John was reported over the weekend, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

All located in the Nig Creek area, the wildfires were first reported on April 27th by the BCWS.

The fires are currently listed as ‘out of control,' meaning they are not responding to suppression efforts.

The size of the fires ranges from 17 to 91 hectares. The BCWS says the fires were caused by humans or human activity.
