Here is a Lexington list and guide of the best weekend events around Central Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you are bored and need things to do including live music concerts, dog shows, art photo shows, University of Kentucky sports like volleyball and football, kid-friendly and free events, comedy shows, concert series, small town festivals and craft fairs like the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival in Winchester that will have over 150 artists.

Bluegrass Classic Dog Show at the Kentucky Horse Park

National Geographic, UK photography teacher exhibit at the Loudoun House

The Lexington Camera Club will host Sam Abell, one of National Geographic magazine’s best-known photographers, and Bill Roughen, the first art photography teacher at UK, during the opening of it’s 2023 exhibition “Conjure” at the Loudoun House on Sept. 1 from 5-9 p.m. The event will also include live music from Lee Carroll.
