Vancouver's Celebration of Light continues with team Australia

Team Australia wowed the crowds at the second fireworks display of the Honda Celebration of Light on Wednesday.

The fireworks started at 10 p.m. PT. Police said about 300,000 people gathered around English Bay for the popular event, currently in its 26th year.

A video of the fireworks is available on the CBC Vancouver Facebook page.

A team from the Netherlands kicked off the 2016 Celebration of Light on July 23. Team USA will be taking charge of the display on the final night of the event, Saturday, July 30.

Vancouver police Const. Brian Montague said there had been a "handful of minor arrests, a few hundred liquor pour-outs, and a drone seizure, but nothing out of the ordinary."

Three more people were taken into custody and two police officers were pepper sprayed during what Montague described as "a minor incident" after the fireworks were over.

Montague said there were fewer people at this year's fireworks, possibly because of concerns due to recent terrorist attacks.

Police urged those heading to the fireworks to use transit and to allow extra time to reach the viewing areas.

TransLink said it would have additional buses and trains to accommodate the event.
