Victim's brother charged in homicide near Toronto soccer field

Police say Clayton Wright had just finished playing a pickup game of soccer at the Eglinton Flats Park when he was fatally shot.

Police say a man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting of a Missisauga man after a pickup soccer game in Toronto's west end on Tuesday.

Clayton Wright, 42, was killed at the scene.

Police say the man's brother, Winston Wright, 38, of Toronto was charged after surrendering at 12 Division.

Toronto police Det.-Sgt. Wayne Banks told reporters Wednesday that Clayton Wright had just left a nearby soccer field when he was shot.

Winston Wright is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
