Boulder Motel Hosts an Unexpected Guest - a Mountain Lion

The Twitter account for the Northeast region of Colorado Parks and Wildlife has issued a stark warning to pet owners to keep their animals on a leash if they are approaching “lion country.”

In a September 17 tweet, the organization shared a video of a wild mountain lion creeping around the reception of a Boulder motel.

The footage shows the animal darting through the grounds of Foot of the Mountain Motel in the middle of the night. In addition to keeping pets on a lead, the parks service also writes that the footage is “an evident reminder why not to leave your door wide open.”

The video had over 4,500 views at the time of writing. Credit: CPW NE Region via Storyful
