Canadian Army Assists With Quebec, New Brunswick Flood Relief

The Canadian Armed Forces conducted relief operations in communities across Quebec and New Brunswick affected by floods in mid-April, as seen in videos shared to the army’s Twitter account on April 23.

Military personnel helped with sand-bagging, conducted checks on residents and assisted with evacuations in the two provinces, the army said in a tweet.

The floods, brought on by snow melt and rain, affected more than 2,500 households in Quebec and forced 1,700 residents to evacuate, according to CBC Canada.
