Nicholas, which made landfall in Texas as a hurricane early on September 14, caused widespread flooding, power outages, and structural damage. More than 100,000 customers were without power in Texas on September 15, according to poweroutage.us.

The National Hurricane Center warned on Wednesday that life-threatening flash floods were expected across portions of the Deep South in the days ahead.
