Oakland Zoo Cares for Mountain Lions Orphaned by California Wildfire

The Oakland Zoo said on October 10 that it has taken in two mountain lion cubs who lost their mother in the Zogg Fire in Northern California.

The zoo shared footage of the female cubs on Twitter, saying they lost their mother and possibly another sibling in the same fire that injured Captain Cal, a male cub rescued by a firefighter September 30 and taken in by the zoo. The zoo said it planned to introduce the two cubs to Captain Cal.
