Manatee County’s football players have created memorable performances in the 2023-24 high school season.

This week, we resume a weekly feature in which we ask you to vote for the best performer of the week in Manatee County high school sports.

Below is a look at the five candidates from last week’s action. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10.

Here are the candidates from last week’s games:

Bon Bean Jr., Manatee: The senior had a game-high 186 receiving yards on seven catches and a touchdown in Manatee’s 49-0 win over crosstown rival Southeast.

Andrew Heidel, Manatee: Heidel completed 18 of 23 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown in the Hurricanes’ 49-0 victory over Southeast.

Jerone Turner, Parrish Community: Turner tallied 179 rushing yards on 16 carries with two touchdowns in a 43-6 victory over Lakeland George Jenkins that punched the Bulls’ first playoff ticket in program history.

Yahshua Edwards, Braden River: The junior ran for 217 yards on 33 carries with two touchdowns in a 27-20 loss to Tampa Robinson.

Ivan Tulupov, Saint Stephen’s: The senior had 18 tackles, five TFL and a quarterback hurry in the Falcons’ 14-7 overtime victory over Cape Coral Oasis.
