Vote for The Observer/Deer Park high school football offensive player of the week

Here are the nominees for The Charlotte Observer/Deer Park Water high school football offensive player of the week.

Eligible players are at schools in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln and Union counties in North Carolina and in York and Lancaster counties in South Carolina.

The weekly winner will receive a trophy from Deer Park. Polls close Friday.

This week’s offensive nominees

R.J. Alexander, Myers Park: In a 32-16 win against Ardrey Kell, Alexander ran 15 times for 140 yards. He had 77 yards on six carries in the first half when Myers Park got control of the game.

Jadyn Davis, Providence Day: In a 49-13 win against Charlotte Country Day, Davis was 12-of-14 for 298 yards and five touchdowns. For the season, Davis is 110-of-139 for 1,972 yards and 26 touchdowns. He has thrown one interception.

Sadat Grant, North Mecklenburg: In a 34-6 win against West Mecklenburg, Grant scored two touchdowns. He had an 80-yard kick return for a score and finished with 130 all purpose yards.

Mehki Herron, AL Brown: In a 49-34 win against West Cabarrus, Herron ran 30 times for 166 yards and four touchdowns. He caught two passes for 44 yards and another score.

Brady Hibbard, Forest Hills: In a 56-7 win against West Stanly, Hibbard was 13-of-18 for 312 yards and four touchdowns. He ran three times for 18 yards and another score.

Isaac Lee, JM Robinson: In a 59-7 win against West Rowan, Lee was 12-for-16 passing for 350 yards and seven touchdowns. He ran five times for 25 yards. He tied a 11-year-old Cabarrus County record for most touchdown passes in a game set by Concord’s BJ Beecher in 2012 against West Charlotte.

Justin Little, Independence: In a 54-21 win over Providence, the junior quarterback was 12-of-16 for 353 yards and five touchdowns. He ran six times for 86 yards and another score.

Kiande Marsh, Hough: The Huskies’ offensive lineman had five pancake blocks and led the way for a punishing run game in a 23-7 win over West Charlotte. Marsh graded at 84 percent, one point higher than his season average and helped teammate Jeremiah Jones rush six times for 93 yards and two scores.

Keyon Phillips, Concord: In a 39-3 win over South Rowan, Phillips ran 10 times for 106 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 8-of-12 passes for 115 yards and two scores.

Turbo Richard, Rock Hill Northwestern (SC): In a 45-14 win over Indian Land, Richard ran 13 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns. He had one punt return for 28 yards.

Tre Robinson, Chambers: In a 54-8 win over Hopewell, Robinson was 12-of-15 passing for 308 yards. He also had 67 yards rushing.

Landon Stone, Clover (SC): In a 48-0 win over Spring Valley, Stone ran 11 times for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He only played the first half.

Trey Thompson, Andrew Jackson: The senior running back ran six times for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 56-0 win over Chesterfield. Playing just 2 1/2 quarters, Thompson also had four tackles on defense while playing linebacker.

Lake Norman offensive line: In a 30-6 win against Hickory Ridge, the Wildcats’ linemen allowed the team to rush 53 times for 300 yards.

Pine Lake Prep offensive line: In a 58-26 win against Bishop McGuinness, the Pride linemen helped set a school record 650 yards of offense.
