It’s time to vote for The State’s spring sports Athletes of the Week from Midlands-area high schools and games played May 1-6. Voting ends Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page.

Bayli Aiken, Hammond track and field: Won the 100 and 200 at Saturday’s SCISA Division I championship.

Symari Bowers, Mid-Carolina softball: Bowers was 4-for-5 with two homers and three RBIs as Rebels won two games and advanced to district championship.

Alanna Colbert, River Bluff soccer: Region 4-5A Player of Year had one goal and six assists in the Gators’ three matches last week.

Gabrielle David, Heathwood Hall track and field: David won the long jump and triple jump as Highlanders won the SCISA Division I championship.

Makayla Drakeford, Westwood softball: In two Westwood wins, she allowed just one run and struck out 22 batters.

Libby Hardin, Dreher soccer: Hardin had four goals in the first three rounds of the playoffs to help the Blue Devils advance to Class 3A Lower State Championship..

Maddox Long, Gray Collegiate softball: Long was 3-for-6 with two homers and 7 RBIs in War Eagles’ two wins as they moved on to district championship.

Ella Majchrzak, Chapin: Majchrzak picked up two wins, allowing two earned runs while striking out 13. She also had two RBIs.

Jais Ward, Ben Lippen track and field: Ward led Ben Lippen with victories in the 1,600 and 3,200 and was second in the 400 at SCISA Division I championship.

Kiley Shelton, Lexington softball: Senior hit .857 with three doubles, a homer and five RBIs as Wildcats moved on to district championship.

Caroline Timmons, Cardinal Newman track and field: Won the 400 and 800 at the SCISA Division I championship.

Finley Breitner, AC Flora soccer: Junior had four goals and an assist as Falcons advanced to 4A Lower State championship.

Patrick Daniels, Camden baseball: Senior was 5-for-8 with two doubles, a triple and drove in six runs in three playoff games.

Carson Graves, Chapin soccer: Senior had four goals for the Eagles in two playoff matches last week.

Beau Hollins, River Bluff baseball: Junior was 3-for-6 with a homer and three RBIs in helping the Gators to district title game.

Patton Hood, North Central baseball: Sophomore shortstop went 6-for-10 with four RBIs in Knights’ two playoff victories.

Landon Knight, Lexington baseball: Knight was 4-for-7 with two homers and 4 RBIs as Wildcats moved on to district championship.

Jake Morris, Lugoff-Elgin baseball: Morris pitched a complete-game, one-hitter and struck out 17 in 3-0 win over Hartsville.

Jaiden Myers, Pelion baseball: Myers pitched a complete-game, struck out 13, allowed two earned runs on three hits in win over Blacksburg as Panthers advanced to district championship.

Ben Richards, Gray Collegiate soccer: Region 4-2A Player of Year had a goal in each of War Eagles’ two playoff matches as Gray advanced to 2A Upper State final.

Kevin Samonsky, Dutch Fork baseball: Senior went 8-for-12 with two RBIs and a double. He also allowed two earned runs, struck out eight in six innings pitched.

Brent Stukes, Gray Collegiate baseball: Senior struck out seven and allowed two hits in four innings pitched. He was 3-for-6 with two RBIs as the War Eagles moved on to district championship.

Hayden Thomas, Brookland-Cayce baseball: Senior pitched a complete game, gave up a run on four hits, struck out 16 and hit a walk-off homer in 2-1 playoff win over Waccamaw.

Carson Weathers, Blythewood baseball: Senior hit game-tying homer in playoff win over Hillcrest. He hit .667 for the week with a homer, three RBIs and stolen base in two games.
