Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BASEBALL

Nick McDaniel, Owyhee: Pitched four scoreless innings for the win in the 5A state tournament opener, scored the go-ahead run in the semifinals and drove in the winning runs in the finals as the Storm repeated as state champs.

Carson Lupton, Mountain View: Went 4-for-8 with a double and six RBIs to lead the Mavericks to the third-place trophy at the 5A state tournament.

Ryan Buchanan, Eagle: Delivered the Mustangs’ the 5A state consolation trophy with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning.

Grayden Lucas, Skyview: Threw a five-inning, five-hit shutout in the 4A state tournament semifinals, leading the Hawks to a runner-up finish.

Cooper Cammann, Bishop Kelly: Went 6-for-10 with four doubles, four stolen bases and six runs scored to lead the Knights to the third-place trophy at the 4A state tournament.

Kaden Mullins, Nampa Christian: Struck out 10 in 7 ⅔ innings while holding Orofino to a single unearned run to lead the Trojans to a 2-1 win in the 2A state semifinals and a runner-up trophy.

Mauricio Navarro, Vision Charter: Went 6-for-11 with two doubles and eight stolen bases to lead the Golden Eagles to the 1A state tournament consolation trophy.
