Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

SOFTBALL

Samantha Hatzenbeller, Owyhee: Went 9-for-16 with four doubles, three home runs and seven RBIs to lead the Storm to the 5A state title. She also pitched 8 ⅔ scoreless innings, holding opponents to four hits while striking out six.

Kaylee Vieira, Eagle: Finished 5-for-17 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBIs to lead the Mustangs to a fourth-place finish at the 5A state tournament.

Analisa Zamora, Skyview: Led the Hawks to three straight wins facing elimination for the 4A state title, the Hawks’ third straight. She threw every pitch of those three games and went 4-for-9 with four RBIs and six runs scored.

Kayla Vahlberg, Emmett: Went 11-for-21 with a double and three triples to lead the Huskies to the third-place trophy at the 4A state tournament.

Dani Sitts, Homedale: Surrendered two earned runs on eight hits while striking out 50 in 23 innings to lead the Trojans to a fourth-place finish at the 3A state tournament.

Quincy Harley, Nampa Christian: Went 6-for-16 with a double, a triple, a home run and five RBIs as the Trojans brought home the third-place trophy from the 2A state tournament.

Abbie English, Cole Valley Christian: Finished 9-for-14 with four doubles, a triple and six RBIs at the 2A state tournament to lead the Chargers to a fourth-place finish.
