Want to experience Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’? At this North Texas mall you can

A mall in North Texas will soon blur the line between reality and fantasy with a new immersive venue from Netflix.

The streaming service announced Tuesday that a permanent entertainment venue named, Netflix House, is coming soon to Galleria Dallas. The venue is expected to open at the popular Dallas shopping mall in fall 2025.

Netflix describes the development as an “experiential entertainment venue” that brings some of its most popular shows to life. Whether its competing in events from “Squid Game” or battling the demogorgon from “Stranger Things,” Netflix House is said to offer patrons an immersive experience.

The venue will also have a retail store on-site, along with selling themed food and drinks.

“At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” said Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer.

The first two locations receiving Netflix House venues are the King of Prussia mall in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas.

Construction is currently underway at Galleria Dallas on two floors of the anchor space on the northwest side of the mall. The mall opened in 1982 and is located in north Dallas near Addison.

“Welcoming Netflix House to Galleria Dallas allows the center to sit at the forefront of the experiential economy, which is such a key aspect of retail today,” Galleria general manager Angie Freed said. “We’re focused on giving our guests the best possible experience as they shop, dine and spend time with friends and family.”

This isn’t the first time Netflix has opened an experience in North Texas.

Two years ago in summer 2022, Netflix opened a “Stranger Things” experience at Grapevine Mills mall in support of the show’s fourth season. The pop-up store allowed fans to browse popular locations from the show, along with buying exclusive merchandise.

Netflix also collaborated with Sandbox VR, which has a location in Fort Worth, on a game based on the streamer’s series, “Squid Game”.
