Watch Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady) Teach HGTV's Jasmine Roth this Iconic Brady Bunch Dance

It’s a sunshine day on the set of A Very Brady Renovation!

While helping to renovate the home that served as the facade of the Brady family home on The Brady Bunch for the forthcoming HGTV series, Barry Williams (aka played Greg Brady) taught Hidden Potential host Jasmine Roth how to do one of their most famous dances.

“I brought up ‘Sunshine Day,’ which is this iconic dance scene that the Brady’s did,” Roth says in a behind-the-scenes video that appeared on the show’s Facebook page.

Williams begins by teasing Roth with the first few moves from the dance, which involve sliding from side to side and pumping your arms. But then, the HGTV star asks Williams if he remembers the whole routine, to which he responds, “Oh yeah,” and proceeds to give Roth a mini dance lesson.

“He still remembers every step,” Roth says in an interview that’s spliced into the video.

It seems he might not remember every detail though, as the dance steps he shows her are actually from the Brady’s performance of ‘Good Time Music,‘ another song they sang on the hit sitcom, which ran from 1969 to 1974.

Williams shows Roth some of the moves, and at one point, even breaks out in song, belting the lyrics to the “Sunshine Day” track.

“If this is serious business, I’m at the wrong place,” Williams says.

Williams, along with the other five actors who played the Brady kids, are teaming up with HGTV stars such as Roth, Drew and Jonathan Scott from the Property Brothers, and Good Bones‘ Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak to revamp the home as a part of A Very Brady Renovation, which is scheduled to air in 2019.

While the pair is having fun restoring the house, they are also working hard — using power tools like drills and nail guns to build walls and space for a fireplace in the home’s den. The show will see the interior of the house, transformed to match the sets from the TV show, which was originally filmed on a soundstage.

“There were tools that I used today that in any other circumstance, could be considered weapons,” Williams jokes.

However, by the end of the day, he can start to see how his work is paying off and he begins to visualize what the space may look like once it’s completed.

“We are building and creating and making things appear that weren’t there before we made them appear,” he says. “We started with a room that was completely open and the next thing you know we have two walls and a fireplace.”

And after looking at his job well done, Williams affectionately stares at the house and says with a smile: “There’s no place like home.”
