The Weirdest Things People Have Left On The London Underground

A prosthetic leg, a judge’s wig, an envelope containing £15,000 and a life-sized spiderman doll are among the bizarre items left on London’s travel network last year. A haul of more than 300,000 items ended up in TFL’s lost property office - described by its manager as a ‘wonder emporium’. Thousands of tablets, mobile phones, wallets and umbrellas were forgotten on buses, trains and tubes, only 22% of which are returned to their rightful owners. All items handed in to TFL end up at the three-storey building next to Baker Street station and are stored for three months before being donated to charity, sent to auction or recycled.
