What's open and closed in Windsor on Good Friday

Some services and businesses will be closed on Good Friday. Others have altered their hours.

We've got a list of places that open, closed and altered:

City of Windsor

City of Windsor offices will be closed April 3. The next City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. April 7 in Council Chambers at City Hall.

Windsor Public Libraries

All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed Good Friday. Regular hours will resume on April 7.

311 Call Centre

The 311 Call Centre will be closed on April 3. Regular hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. resume April 7.

211 Windsor-Essex

The 211 service will be operating 24 hours a day throughout the Easter holiday weekend.

Garbage & Recycling

There will be no residential collection services on Good Friday. Residential collection services will be delayed by one day. People can call 311 or visit www.citywindsor.ca for more information.

Public Drop-off & Household Chemical Waste Depots

The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row are closed Good Friday but open Saturday, April 4.

Parks and Recreation

All community and customer care centres and pools, with the exception of the downtown aquatic centre, will be closed on Good Friday, except for previously scheduled rentals. The downtown aquatic centre is open for regular programming all weekend. All community centre programs including swimming and programs will occur on Saturday, April 4.

The WFCU Centre and arenas will be closed on Good Friday, except for previously scheduled rentals and programs.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park

Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be open special hours (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) on Good Friday.

Parking Enforcement

There will be no municipal parking enforcement on Good Friday, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed as well.

Windsor's Community Museum

The museum is currently closed for renovations and will reopen on May 19.

Transit Windsor

City buses will run on the Sunday/Holiday schedule on Friday. The Tunnel Bus will operate on its regular schedules throughout the weekend. Schedules and route maps are available online at www.citywindsor.ca/transitwindsor. The transit sales office at 300 Chatham St. W. is open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The sales office at 3700 North Service Rd. E. will be closed Friday.

Canada Post

There will be no regular collection or delivery of mail on Good Friday. However, post offices operated by the private sector will be open according to the hours of service of the host business.

The Beer Store

The Beer Store will be closed on Good Friday.

LCBO

All LCBO stores and LCBO agency outlets will be closed on Good Friday. LCBO stores that would normally close at 6 p.m. on Thursday evenings will observe extended hours on Thursday.

Devonshire Mall

The Devonshire Mall will be closed on Good Friday.
