Where ya at? A popular Columbia discount store is moving. Check out where it’s going
When shoppers of the Columbia discount outlet Where Ya Bin show up at the store’s normal Forest Drive location, they may soon have a question: Where ya at?
But fear not, bargain hunters, the store is getting a new location.
Where Ya Bin, the store that offers a rotating series of overstock goods at deep discounts, has been located at 5422 Forest Drive for about two years. But it is now getting set to move to a new location at 817 St. Andrews Road.
“ATTENTION WHERE YA BIN SHOPPERS... WE’RE MOVING,” the store wrote in a recent post on its Facebook page. “Beginning this Friday, March 1st, Where Ya Bin Columbia will be CLOSED while we begin the process of moving into our new store location. Stay tuned for more information regarding our opening date. Thank you!”
The coming location at St. Andrews Road is in a small shopping center just east of Interstate 26. There are a host of commercial businesses in that area, including Rose’s, IHOP, Cycle Gear, Papa John’s and more.
Per its website, Where Ya Bin buys truckloads of overstock and return items each week. Those items are loaded into the stores weekly and laid out, as you would imagine, in bins. A new round of stock hits the store every Friday, and the prices decrease as the subsequent week goes along.
Everything in the store is $14 on Fridays, $10 on Saturdays, $7 on Sundays, $5 on Mondays, $3 on Tuesdays, $1 on Wednesdays and 25 cents on Thursdays. The store then restocks on Thursday nights, and the pricing rotation starts all over again on Friday.
