Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks’ Charlie Griffin Dies in Boating Accident
Charlie Griffin, a fishing boat captain who was featured on multiple seasons of National Geographic’s Wicked Tuna spinoff, Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, died in a boating accident Monday.
His death was confirmed via the official Facebook page for Griffin’s vessel Reels of Fortune:

According to The Outer Banks Voice, the U.S. Coast Guard received a report of an overdue vessel Monday that was traveling from Virginia to Wanchese, N.C. It was eventually located off Pea Island, where Griffin’s body was recovered.
Reports indicate that the search continues for a second, unidentified occupant that was aboard the vessel. No further details are available as of press time.
