Wildcats, Halifax Mooseheads return to Moncton for Game 7

Moncton Wildcats coach Darren Rumble wants his team to refocus after losing their first away game of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs on Sunday in Halifax.

The Halifax Mooseheads defeated the Wildcats 7-5, forcing a seventh game, which will be played in Moncton.

Rumble says the series has been up and down so far.

"Halifax played great last night but I think we were a little complacent, we thought they might just hand it to us and that wasn't the case," Rumble said.

"They didn't want to give it to us and we needed to fight a little harder to get it."

On Friday night Wildcats fans packed the Aitken Centre in Fredericton after a scheduling conflict at the Moncton Coliseum forced the team to move game five.

Looking ahead to Tuesday's deciding game, Rumble says the team needs fans to come out with the same enthusiasm they brought to Fredericton where they won 7–3.

"The atmosphere in Fredericton — it was a great atmosphere — the boys came out and they were absolutely flying and just feeding off the crowd. I'd like to see 7,000 there tomorrow," Rumble said.

He says the team will spend Monday recovering and preparing for Tuesday night.

"That was our first road loss of the playoffs last night, so the boys have been doing well while we're on the road," he said.

"But I think just getting away from the rink today after practice, spending some time with their friends and their billets will be good to refresh their minds and get back to business tomorrow."
